What are Tera Raids?

Tera Raid Battles are cooperative multiplayer battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet where up to 4 players team up to battle and catch a Terastallized wild Pokémon. These powerful Pokémon have shifted to a different Tera Type, changing their strengths and weaknesses dramatically from their standard typing.

Why Tera Types Matter

When a Pokémon Terastallizes, it changes to its Tera Type, gaining STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) on moves of that type and adopting the defensive properties of the new type.
