What is Terastal Calculator?

Terastal Calculator helps you find the best counter Pokémon for any Tera Raid Battle in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The advanced algorithm analyzes type matchups, stat distributions, abilities, and raid-specific movesets to recommend optimal counters for raids ranging from 1-star to 7-star difficulty.

Whether you're facing a Dragon Tera Type Charizard or a Poison Tera Type Blissey, the calculator provides detailed recommendations including specific Pokémon builds, ability suggestions, and type effectiveness analysis. Used by thousands of trainers worldwide and featured by content creators on TikTok and YouTube, Terastal Calculator is your essential tool for conquering difficult Tera Raids.

The calculator considers multiple factors when recommending counters: offensive and defensive type matchups, stat advantages (shown as Δ delta values), abilities that counter specific raid movesets, and resistance-immunity-weakness profiles. This comprehensive approach ensures you bring the most effective Pokémon to every raid battle.

Understanding Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

What are Tera Raids?

Tera Raid Battles are cooperative multiplayer battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet where up to 4 players team up to battle and catch a Terastallized wild Pokémon. These powerful Pokémon have shifted to a different Tera Type, changing their strengths and weaknesses dramatically from their standard typing.

Raid Difficulty Levels

  • 1-2 Star Raids: Beginner-friendly raids perfect for new trainers
  • 3-4 Star Raids: Intermediate difficulty requiring type advantage planning
  • 5 Star Raids: Advanced raids with competitive movesets and higher stats
  • 6 Star Raids: Post-game content requiring optimized builds and coordination
  • 7 Star Raids: Special event raids featuring the most challenging opponents with perfect stats

Why Tera Types Matter

When a Pokémon Terastallizes, it changes to its Tera Type, gaining STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) on moves of that type and adopting the defensive properties of the new type. A Fire-type Charizard that becomes Dragon Tera Type will be weak to Dragon, Fairy, and Ice moves instead of its usual Water, Electric, and Rock weaknesses. Understanding these shifts is crucial for raid success.
